FloppaKart: rebuilt tracks with off-road, new moves, bikes and quads
Frostpeak Pass becomes a one-way mountain pass, three tracks rebuilt, drivable off-road, rails and wall rides, two items from any box and two new vehicles.
What's in this build
- Frostpeak Pass is now a one-way mountain pass in three sections, with no laps: from the ski resort through a rock tunnel, past snowboarders and over a ski jump down to the valley.
- Off-road like in the big kart games: snow, dirt, gravel, salt and grass beside the road are drivable. They slow you down, but they hide shortcuts.
- New moves: charge jump (hold drift without steering, then let go), grind rails and wall rides, plus kicker ramps for tricks.
- Magma Keep rebuilt: a castle in a lava lake with a route over the tower, crushers with a steel bar to grind above them, a lava pit, laser gates and a lava bridge with fire bars and geysers. The ground no longer pokes through the road.
- Lava now burns you instead of splashing like water.
- Mudslide Stadium rebuilt: the finish line is no longer under the bridge. Kicker ramps, a hairpin rail, a wall to ride round the bumps, mud geysers and rough ground everywhere off the road.
- Saltwind Speedway rebuilt: salt flats with salt pans and kicker ramps, a ride along the sea wall, a glide onto the pier and a drive on the water through the canal of an old harbour town.
- Two items from normal item boxes: grab a box while you already hold an item and the new one goes into your second slot. The single item box got the same crystal look as the double one.
- New vehicles: the Floppa Bike and the Shrimp Quad (the quad barely slows down off-road). The karts got new models, wheels and animations.
- The Shrimp Cup tracks look better: new skies, more detailed roads and lots of new scenery.
- Every track has a version number now: when a track is rebuilt, its old Time Trial records and ghosts are cleared.
- Smoother cutscenes: the track flyover fades into the race start, and the finish camera keeps circling instead of cutting off.
